ICDevents announces renowned lineup for fourth annual Patient Experience Symposium

Press Release – For Immediate Release

BOSTON – (November 14, 2019) – As healthcare issues ebb and flow with political partisanship and competing legislation, patients continue to demand an improved experience, and their assessments matter now more than ever. But what exactly is the patient experience, and how can healthcare leaders strengthen it? Building on the success of the highly acclaimed conference, the fourth annual Patient Experience Symposium will bring leading healthcare practitioners and administrators to Boston at The Row Hotel at Assembly Row in May 2020 for three days of keynote presentations, case studies, and in-depth, hands-on learning labs designed to help improve the patient experience.

New conference tracks will include The Role of New Technologies in Healthcare, chaired by Joseph Kvedar, MD, Vice President of Connected Health, Partners Healthcare, and Patient Experience in Clinical Research: How to Harness Large Health Systems, chaired by Craig Lipset, former Head of Clinical Innovation at Pfizer.

“This Symposium brings together outstanding voices from many disciplines, all with the goal of helping healthcare providers, administrators, and allied professionals to improve medical care by optimizing the patient experience. The presenters challenge the brain and touch the heart”, says Conference Chair, Bob Baker, MD.

Driven by the rising patient share of healthcare costs and a new assertive activism by patients, hospitals and clinics are discovering that there is a new sheriff in town. A program of diverse speakers will enable provider organizations and their professionals to adjust to the new power that resides in the hands of the patient, ultimately improving outcomes and patient satisfaction. These visionary speakers will share best practices, tools to overcome systemic obstacles, and their personal accounts of working in a healthcare system that has too long been resistant to change.

The lineup includes Martin Makary, MD, New York Times bestselling author and a Johns Hopkins surgeon and professor of health policy; Susan Frampton, President, Planetree International; Hassan Tetteh, MD, Health Mission Chief Joint Artificial Center (JAIC) Department of Defense; and Sachin Jain, MD, President & CEO, CareMore Health System.
