Session:

How a High Quality Patient Experience Can Lead to a Durable, Positive Outcome

Virtual Content begins September 23, 2021

When Stacy was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer on her 44th birthday and given an 8% chance of survival, she maximized all possible resources in order to fully commit to beating it. Navigating her journey through a unique lens of having already been a 20-year healthcare executive and caregiver to her intellectually and developmentally disabled child, she was able to apply some expert tactics to help position her for what is now a miraculous, 5-year cancer-free milestone.

  • Identify and define stakeholder roles in a critical, patient centric care scenario

  • Define “scanxiety” and its impact on the mental and physical health of a cancer patient

  • Understand four evidence-based need-to-knows for every newly diagnosed cancer patient

  • Discuss synergies between the various components of cancer survivorship including integrative oncology techniques and conventional medical treatment
