Efforts to advocate for change, social justice and anti-discrimination must carefully consider the potential damage of personal ego and proclamations of “moral high ground.” These worthy messages can be lost if they are delivered in a manner that publicly shames and ignores the complexity, dignity and humanity of their recipients. In this session, Duane Reynolds invites audience members to grapple with the difference between “calling people out” and “calling people in” to what is perhaps the most important work of this generation.
