Dr. Drapeaux is an Assistant Professor of Health Sciences at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from University of Iowa. Dr. Drapeaux also plans to confer her PhD degree through Drake University in August 2022. She has 17 years of experience as an orthopedic physical therapist with treating a variety of ages and pathological conditions, in addition to experience managing several outpatient orthopedic practices. As a full time Assistant Professor, her scholarly activity has focused on the effect of biopsychosocial variables on patient outcomes including provider patient relationships, education, mental health, patient satisfaction, and the emerging new treatment of stem cell injections. As a primary investigator to several published and ongoing, longitudinal studies, she has narrowed her research focus to determine the impact of variables on patient outcomes. Dr. Drapeaux is still involved in treating patients and enjoys bringing clinical examples to her courses at Drake University. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her (3) children and husband, running, travelling, and cooking.
