David Lessens, MD, MPH

Dr. David Lessens joined Southcentral Foundation in 2013 and is a primary care provider and a medical director. Beyond his clinical responsibilities as a part of an integrated primary care team, he serves on multiple committees, has co-authored institutional guidelines, and has written several chapters in primary care textbooks. He received his medical training at the University of Michigan Medical School and completed a family medicine residency and academic integrative medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin--Madison. In addition, he completed an MPH with a focus on nutrition and environmental sustainability at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. David is passionate about enabling healthcare systems to address determinants of health and focus on all dimensions of wellness.
